The funny encounter between the former Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello took a new turn today as Yahaya was reportedly seen at the headquarters of the EFCC.
You’d recall that Yahaya Bello was officially declared wanted by the EFCC for alleged money Laundering but have somehow decided not to arrest the man.
Rumors had it that he was in the custody of EFCC but EFCC came out to denounce that claim.

“EFCC PRESS RELEASE
Yahaya Bello not in EFCC Custody
Media reports today that a former Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello is in the holding facility of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is incorrect. The Commission wishes to state that Bello is not in its custody.
Bello, already declared wanted by the Commission for alleged N80.2billion money laundering charges, remains wanted with a subsisting warrant for his arrest.

Yahaya Bello was accompanied by the Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo and others.
EFCC did not interrogate Yahaya Bello. Rather, he was asked to go.
However, it is being insinuated that EFCC was caught unaware by Yahaya Bello’s making himself available for interrogation.
It is being said that the plan of the EFCC was to arrest Yahaya Bello and do a Media Show of the arrest.
By coming to the EFCC office by himself, Yahaya Bello may have defeated that plan. So he was asked to go home so that he can be arrested as planned.
Meanwhile, Yahaya Bello has left the EFCC Headquarters in Abuja.

Just like Antonio Bandaras did in The Movie, Assassins when he had to go down to the banking halls to meet with Silvester Stallone, ran back to his guns, ready to shoot him?
So, apparently, he came today, adorned in his white jalabia… And went home while still remaining WANTED…
