Buhari Approves Establishment Of 6 New Federal Colleges Of Education

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the establishment of six new federal colleges of education in each of the six geo-political zones of the country.

This states are as follow…..

•Bauchi
•Benue
•Ebonyi
•Osun
•Sokoto
•Edo

However, most Nigerians are of the opinion that Nigeria doesn’t need more institutions created but for the Federal Government to repair and fund the already dilapidated ones. Federal institutions lectures are currently on strike due to funding issues and the federal government who hasn’t attended to their plight is busy creating other ones..

We don't need it…The existing federal owned Educational institutions are lacking the necessary infrastructures, struggling from paucity of funding. Establishing more educational institutions is economically insensible thing to do at this point in time fix the education sector!

The easy way out and a show of camera is to build new school. Fixing education sector is a rocket science to them. Average Nigeria politicans think building more blocks is the solution to fall in education sector.

Please tell the President. We need more technical colleges/institute of science and technology not colleges of Education. The ones we have educated, where are the jobs for them? Science and Tech.will create jobs 👌

The existing federal schools are underfunded, the govt can not even fund it reccurent expenditures without borrowing but @MBuhari keep widening it budget. You certainly can't give what you don't have.

This new romance between PMB and Ebony state, I hope their isn't a sinister agenda attached! Recently, approved an Islamic Bank loan for her and now approving a new college of education. The 96% vs 5% narrative makes me suspect every intention of the President towards the S.E..

We don't need Federal Colleges of Education. In fact, all existing ones should be scrapped. That tier of education has outlived its usefulness & it's not consistent with our contemporary education needs. Indeed, it has zero relevance to a nation with urgent need for development.
