The executive governor of Anambra State Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo has issued a special broadcast for the people of Anambra, “ndị Anambra”, in the wake of the rampaging criminal activities ravaging the state since his inception.
The belligerent governor in his opening remark commiserated with the families that have lost their beloved ones, especially the family of the  gruesomely murdered Anambra House Member, Hon. Okechukwu Okoye and that of the family Of the Pregnant Northern Woman Killed Last Weekend(images) .
As we await the full text of the special broadcast, below are the few points deduced from his speech.
1. On top of the 10M naira bounty placed for any person with useful information on the killers of Okechukwu Okoye, more bounty would be made available. One million naira additional bounty would be given to anyone with any information that would give clue to the arrest of any criminal elements in the state.
7 special phone numbers would be provided for the public to report any information of crime and would be closely monitored by the governor himself to make sure identities of the persons calling are protected.
He reiterated that the criminals are Igbos mostly from the neighboring state who are insistent on destroying Anambra state all looped in Freedom fighting.
2. Curfew are hereby placed on Okada, Tricycle (keke) and Shuttle buses from 6pm at 8 designated local government of the state markwd as red zones. The curfew would be reviewed after two weeks.
3. Petrol stations should install CCTV cameras in front of their outlets to aid in intelligence gathering.
4. Hotel owners should report any suspicious group or activities happening in their hotel of which failure would lead to serious sanctions.
5. All communities where these criminals camp in their bushes should immediately report such camps or risk relinquishing the land to the government upon discovery.
6. All keke, Okada and Tricycle are within 4 weeks go for recapturing of their licenses or vehicle numbers.
The governor once again reassured “ndi Anambra” of his unwavering stance on purging the state of these criminal elements.
