Apt Analysis of UK’s election & what happened in Nigeria

This is a very apt analysis of what happened in the UK as against the Mahmood Yakubu’s conducted INEC elections in Nigeria.

Below is an analysis by Nefertiti…

“While Olusola Oni’s “Yoruba Party” did not win a single seat, this UK Election was the exact replica of what transpired in Nigeria in 2023.

The only difference was INEC (the umpire).

This election was a Referendum.

Rishi Sunak ended the Tories 14-year reign.

This is the worst ever defeat in the history of the United Kingdom’s Conservative Party.

Like Nigeria, Brits felt that the system was broken, & they spoke loudly. The voting pattern in the UK, mirrored the voting pattern in Nigeria.

The only difference was that Mahmud Yakubu & Bola Tinubu connived, & stole the election at 4am, when Nigerians were snoring.

But that is beside the point.

The Muslim Community in the United Kingdom voted against the Labour Party. Sir Keir Starmer is Pro-Israel, so their votes were justified.

This Election was strictly based on the ISSUES, not on parochialism like religion, & tribe.

If Starmer had taken a stand against Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, & the killings in GAZA, the vote tally would have been different.

Starmer lost 7,000 votes in his stronghold.

But my takeaway from this Election, is that the United Kingdom is CHANGING.

It is no longer a two-party state.

Fringe parties like the:

The Reform Party.
The Green Party.
The Liberal Democrats, &
The Scottish National Party.

led by Nigel Farage & others, have made it clear that they will be going after the Conservative & the Labour Party seats in the future, & pushing for the UK to become a “multi-party state.”

Rishi Sunak held onto his North Yorkshire seat, he won his polling unit by the way. Unlike Omoyeye Soworey (our SUG Aluta President) who lost his polling unit in Nigeria.

As at the time of this tweet:

Labour has won at least 404 seats in Parliament, giving them a clear majority.

The Conservative has won 113 seats.

The Liberal Democrats has 70 seats.

The Reform Party has 4 seats.

While the Scottish National Party & the Green Party have 4 seats respectively.

The Yoruba Party did not win a single seat.

These fringes parties may potentially change the electoral system in the United Kingdom in the future. In the end, all there will be left to play for, is anyone’s guess.

Congratulations to Sir Keir Starmer & the Labour Party. They fought had, & won.

🇬🇧 UK just finished their election yesterday.

Individuals were able to close from work, walk in, vote & walk out.

Results were announced & we all know the winner.

I didn’t hear anything about going to court or election petition tribunal.

Judiciary had no role at all…….

Nigeria we hail thee!!!!

Meanwhile,….someone wrote… :

“Do you know that in the just concluded elections in UK, a group of Yoruba UK politicians formed a political party called “The Yoruba Party In The UK?

They campaigned and contested for a position as the MP of Peckham but eventually lost.

No one abused or insulted them. No one asked them to go home to their country and contest or vote. There was no MC Oluomo or APC agberos to beat them up in the UK.

But, in Lagos and other Yoruba states, some of them will fight and prevent Igbo people from voting in Lagos and in Yoruba land. They will tell Igbo people to go back to their land and vote.
